Well, at least I got one done in time for the crit.
I'm honestly not super happy with the finished product. I feel I could have been much more creative and ambitious had we been given more than just 2 weeks for this project. I felt a little boxed in by the confines of the assignment. It had
to be some kind of white and it had to be long. It's both of those things, so...
I feel I could have done a lot better with the construction, but when you're sewing at lightning speed, sometimes accuracy goes out the window. Oh, well.
All in all, my professor seemed happy with it. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get more funky with bridal in the future... and to finish up those other dresses!
Elegant, earthy, flowing and gorgeous. Love it :)
ReplyDeleteLove the draping in the front! And glad to see the lace made it in there too. Nice work!

This dress is golden! Whether a first time bride or one on her 3rd wedding or so this would work. Kudos! I always like a bit of lace in weddings and with a short lacy veil a bride would look so svelte in this.
ReplyDeleteI hold my flute of champagne to toast the designer of this look.
