I have to say, I felt super self-conscious trying out this high-waisted jean trend. Raising the waistband all the way up to the smallest part of my torso felt like it emphasized my hips and stomach, but after reviewing these photos, I'm actually kind of digging that effect. By wearing a striped shirt, my waist is highlighted, which makes it look smaller -- always a good thing! And, so what?! I have hips. That's just me, and I'm working on owning it!
