Day 342 -- Meet the Rabbi

For whatever reason, I was super nervous about meeting with the Rabbi who is going to marry us. I fretted for hours over what to wear to our meeting and finally came up with this! I recently acquired this polka dotted blazer on deep, deep sale (and with a store credit - thanks Jamie!), and I really wanted to wear it. So after a little pinterest research, I came across this pin, and was really inspired by the colors.

This fruity, coral tone dress was the perfect solution! I've previously worn this dress when I thought I was a Greek goddess, but the first time I wore it was most memorable. I bought this dress to wear on my birthday the first year we were in LA. Alex, however, booked a day gig recording a band that will go unnamed. Dreadful as the performance was, I still donned my pink birthday suit!

Day 340 -- Tall Order

OMG, is that me... looking tall? I'm all torso, and no legs, so I'm always amazed when my legs actually look long. Thanks to a high waist and even higher heels, it appears that there is hope for me and my stubs yet.

This outfit is so simple, but I love how much punch it packs. With a fun doggy print, and a bright, hot pink, who cares that it's just a tee shirt and a pair of paper bag pants?

Day 339 -- Try Try Again

I haven't worn this dress since I majorly fashion failed wearing it with a yellow sweater and multicolored flats, no makeup, and a sloppy bun to my job at the jewelry store. Sorry, dress code.

I tried to give this number a second shot by gussying up my hair, sporting my favorite polka flats, and grinning into the sunshine.

Day 338 -- Semi Pro

Where: Zombie Music Video Shoot

As Alex's assistant, I try to look professional and responsible. As my own human being, I try to look quirky, fun, and fashionable. That's where this outfit come in. Pencil skirt: professional. Magenta pencil skirt: fun. White button down: responsible. Slightly sheer white button down with funky pockets: quirky and fashionable. See?

While on set, I fetched drinks, handled back up cameras, and demonstrated choreography to the zombie minions. It did get a bit hot out there on those Burbank streets, but I think I held it together in my muscle tank oxford and my almost-too-mini skirt!

Day 337 -- Body Image

Where: Airport with Jamie, Studio

I got dressed this morning anticipating going into Industry for work, but they called saying that they had it covered. I was already dressed in the worlds most boring outfit, so I just stuck with it. Fun fact: I wore this shirt on my first date with Alex, when it was still new and cool to me.

In other news, I'm starting to hate my body less and hate my hair more. It's so difficult to plan a wedding, make your own dress, keep from reading wedding blogs and pinterest exercise regimens and still maintain a positive body image. How will I ever be skinny enough to fit into a dress which will be photographed and displayed in my home for the rest of my life?! I have to slap myself and get over it. I'm fine. But... I still could use a bottle of Revlon Colorsilk #72 Strawberry Blonde. Oh wait, it's discontinued.

Have I worn this exact outfit before? Probably not, but damn close. I try to avoid repeating exact outfits, because as Patricia Field said, "We don't repeat the plot, why would we repeat a look?"

But sometimes, certain combinations just work. Like this dotted dress and yellow. I just love it! Plus this pattern mixing is amazingggg! (Ugh, I'm so sick of talking about pattern mixing even though I'm so into wearing it!)
