Day 164 -- Fifty Layers of Grey

Monday, February 11, 2013

When: Monday, February 11th, 2013

Where: Studio

After an exhausting day of hawking my goods at the flea market, I just wanted to bundle up and sleep the day away, but that certainly was not an option. On to the next big project. It's time to get organized for a fashion show I will be in next week!

A good friend of mine from high school, Iris, contacted me a couple weeks ago about participating in a charity fashion in San Francisco at the end of the month. Of course I was honored to be a part of it. If you're in the bay area, please be sure to stop by RallyPad near the SFMOMA this coming Thursday, February 21st, to see me and other local designers showcase our fashions for a good cause. For more info, check out their website.

So, in order to stay focused and hunker down in my studio, I wrapped myself in cozy grey and set to work! On days when I know I'm going to be in my studio for hours and I won't see anyone except my neighbors when I'm out walking Bucket, it can be very tempting to throw on one of Alex's old tee shirts, and hang out in leggings all day. But, raising the bar one level above a man's shirt can help me feel fashionable and stay in that mindset!
